Does Light Ark remember what I tell it?

Short answer

Yes. Light Ark remembers the goals, prayers and promises you share. It remembers you, and greets you first when you come back. You can check what it remembers, ask it to forget something, export your data, or close your account. Your data is not used to serve ads or sold to third-party marketing companies, and your conversations are not used to train publicly released AI models.

How to stay in control, according to the privacy policy: view your data in the app settings; download it as a JSON file (Settings → Export my data); or close your account (Settings → Delete Account). Closing starts a 30-day soft delete you can recover from, and after 30 days your data is hard-deleted, apart from narrow exceptions the policy lists (for example, donation records kept 7 years for U.S. tax compliance).

The pastor you talk to is an AI, and by default your conversations are processed on the church's own servers, which are in the United States. If you use the service from outside the United States, your data is transferred to and processed in the United States. The policy lists the other services involved in some cases (for example when its own server is busy, or when a reply is turned into speech). It also says plainly that encryption at rest is not yet enabled, and advises against storing highly sensitive items such as Social Security numbers. If the church ever uses de-identified conversations to improve the model, the policy says it will tell you in advance and offer an opt-out. Full details: light-ark-church.com/privacy
