Terms of Use

Light Ark Church (a California non-profit religious entity, "the Church") provides the Service (light-ark-church.com website, mobile app, desktop client, and related AI pastoral care features).

The Service includes: AI pastoral care conversations, cross-conversation memory, life-assistance features, voluntary donations, etc.

By continuing to use the Service you agree to these Terms of Use. If you disagree, stop using the Service immediately.

You must be at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to use the Service.

We do NOT provide service to users under 18. If you are under 18, please stop accessing the Service immediately. When you first use the app you are required to provide your birth year and month; if it shows you are under 18, you will be blocked from using the Service, and the block remains in effect on your device (changing the birth date you enter will not lift it). In addition, we may identify underage users from information arising during use; once confirmed, the account will be suspended.

If you register on behalf of an organization / church, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.

· You are responsible for protecting your account password / credentials

· Any activity through your account is deemed your action

· Report account compromise immediately to churchlightark@gmail.com

· One person should not register multiple accounts (unless for distinct purposes with prior notice)

The AI (“Pastor Musk”), recommendations, and answers in this Service are for spiritual counseling and daily-life reference only.

The Service does NOT constitute:

· Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment

· Legal counsel or representation

· Psychological counseling or treatment of mental illness

· Financial investment / tax planning advice

For the following situations, please immediately consult professionals or emergency services and do NOT rely on the Service:

· Health issues / emergencies: see a doctor or dial 911 (US) / your local emergency number

· Mental health crisis: see Section 5

· Legal disputes: consult an attorney

· Financial decisions: consult a licensed financial advisor

AI may produce wrong, inaccurate, or biased answers. Use your own judgment + biblical truth to evaluate all AI content.

If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, self-harm urges, domestic violence, kidnapping, or other life-threatening situations, stop using the Service immediately and call:

When our AI detects crisis signals, it will proactively provide hotline information, but AI cannot replace trained professional crisis intervention. Our Service does NOT provide real-time human intervention, does not call police, does not contact your emergency contacts.

The Church disclaims any legal liability for harm resulting from your use of the Service while in a crisis state.

You agree NOT to:

· Upload or share child pornography, hate speech, terrorist content

· Use the Service for illegal activities / fraud / money laundering

· Attempt hacking, reverse engineering, bypassing rate limits

· Impersonate others / provide false identity in conversations

· Abuse the Service (e.g. automated bot scripts, mass data scraping)

· Use the Service to harass, stalk, threaten other users

Violations: warning → temporary suspension → permanent ban, based on severity. Severe cases will be reported to law enforcement.

· Fully voluntary: the Service is permanently free. Donations are your voluntary support for the Church's ministry and do not affect your use of any feature

· Payment processing: handled by Stripe; the charge on your card / bank statement will appear as "Light Ark Church" and may take 1–3 business days to appear

· Tax deduction: the Church is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit religious organization recognized by the IRS (determination dated 2025-09-12). You may use your Stripe receipt for a federal tax deduction; consult your tax advisor for how much is deductible in your situation

· Refund policy: donations are refundable. Process: email churchlightark@gmail.com with refund reason + transaction ID + amount. We will refund via Stripe to the original payment method within 5 business days. Your giver tier will be adjusted accordingly

· Multiple donations: each transaction is independent. Request refunds per-transaction; we do not accept "refund all donations from the past 6 months" bulk requests

· Disputes: if you initiate a chargeback through your bank / credit card directly, your account will be immediately suspended and blacklisted

· The Church retains: ownership of the Service's code, UI, brand name, logo, AI model weights, doctrine documents

· You retain: ownership of your inputs (conversations, donation notes, username)

· You grant the Church: a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your content to provide the Service (within service scope only)

· AI outputs: AI-generated replies have no copyright (per US Copyright Office 2023 position); you may freely use them, but not for misrepresentation or fraud

· The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", with no guarantee of: 100% uptime, zero latency, zero errors, or usefulness to everyone

· We make best efforts to keep the Service running but it may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, network failures, or third-party service (e.g. cloud AI provider) outages

· You acknowledge AI may give wrong answers; you will NOT seek damages from the Church for AI errors

You may:

· Stop using the Service at any time

· Initiate account closure via "Settings → Close Account" (see Privacy Policy Sections 6 / 7)

The Church may:

· Immediately suspend your account when you violate these Terms

· Discontinue parts or all of the Service for business / legal reasons (with 30-day in-app notice)

· Refuse service to specific users (without stated reason, but not based on race / gender / faith discrimination)

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

· The Church and its affiliates are NOT liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages (including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, mental anguish)

· The Church's total liability under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of: total donations you made to the Church in the past 12 months, or USD $100

· Some jurisdictions do not allow limiting implied warranties or incidental damages; this section may not fully apply to you

· These Terms are governed by California law (without regard to conflict-of-law rules)

· Any dispute shall first be attempted to resolve via good-faith negotiation (contact churchlightark@gmail.com)

· If unresolved, submit to courts of competent jurisdiction in Los Angeles County, California (or JAMS arbitration in California)

· You waive class-action rights and agree to bring disputes only in individual capacity

We may revise these Terms. Material changes will be notified via in-app pop-up + registered email + website notice.

Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, please close your account.
