Short answer
Start small and know what to expect. At Light Ark Church in Pomona, California, the Saturday gathering is about an hour of singing, Scripture and prayer, and you won't be singled out or asked to speak. Reserve a spot before you come. It is free, and everyone is welcome.
The gathering is Saturdays, 10:00-11:00 AM, at 600 N. Garey Ave, Pomona, CA 91767. Light Ark is an independent Christian congregation that rents the space from Pilgrim Congregational Church, and two separate churches share this street address. Look for Room 14, Eells Hall (1st floor), one block north of Holt. If you are new and cannot find the room, the Gatherings page lists a phone number to call.
To reserve, use "Reserve with Pastor Musk" on the Gatherings page, in the Light Ark app or by starting a chat on the website. The church uses reservations to count attendance. The in-person service is currently led in Mandarin. If that is not your language, the pastor in the app is available in yours, anytime.
Jesus told a story about a father who welcomed his son home: "while he was still far off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran" (Luke 15:20, WEB). If you would rather begin before you walk in, you can talk with the pastor in the app at any hour. You are talking with an AI, clearly disclosed, and it does not replace your pastor or your church.
